LUGANO'S DRAGONS CLAIM SECOND STRAIGHT TITLE IN SWISS NATIONAL LEAGUE

Energy Investments Lugano gave a sumptuous bis in Swiss National League and won its second crowns. The first was in 2013.

The “Dragons” as they are nicknamed in their home country redeemed misstep in Swiss Cup where surprisingly they lost the final match of the national cup to Volley Näfels.

This setback added some extra motivation to the players and in the Championship series against TV Shönenwerd, Energy Investments Lugano did not drop a set in their three matches and showed the difference in class and technical skills between two teams.

Also the team from Lugano lost only one match throughout the 2013/2014 domestic season.

In the 2013/14 season there was another historical moment: the debut in the Cev European Champions League, the most prestigious club competition.
